Ok I saw a comment made by a fellow Military wife that I just want to pick apart really quick. This was the comment that was made.
"if you don't want me to tell you off please refrain from telling me how sorry you are that my husband is in the army. and fyi no you don't know what I'm going through and no my kids should never HAVE to get use to their dad being gone. that is all"
Ok now.... I don't understand why these women feel it necessary to snap at everyone that tries to relate to them and show their support. She said that her children shouldn't have to get used to their dad being gone... well what the hell do you think that they should just have to struggle with it the whole time he is gone. Because he will undoubtedly be gone for extended periods of time.
Now being married to a man in the Army, I have come across a lot of people that try to relate, say things like "my husband has to go out of town all the time on business trips" blah blah blah. Hunny, you're husband isn't going to war, period. But I still don't find it necessary to blow up on these people because they feel for you.
Bottom line, if this girl doesn't want the normal attention and comments that a military wife will get.... don't tell random people that your husband is military... duh! She just needs to get over herself.
